Alex Igelman. LL.B
Alex Igelman is a gaming lawyer and consultant with over 26 years experience in gaming, technology, and entertainment. In the early 1990's, Alex pioneered the enforcement of gambling debts in Canada on behalf of Las Vegas-based Casinos, including Caesars, Mirage Resorts, and MGM. In 1996, Alex sold his law practice to focus on the nascent online gaming industry and in so doing became one of the first lawyers in the field. Alex was instrumental in the early success of public companies such as Party Gaming, PokerStars and Gaming VC. In the late 2000's, Alex established Gaming Research Partners, a full-service consultancy focused on i-gaming, gaming technology, and esports. In 2013, Alex decided to focus his attention solely on the burgeoning esports space. In 2016, Alex founded Millennial Esports Corp. and has been the driving force behind its rapid growth and success. Aside from leading the first pure-play public esports company in North America, Alex was also the originator of promoting Las Vegas as a global hub for esports and built the first dedicated esports arena and studio in Las Vegas in 2016. Since its founding, Millennial Esports has raised in excess of 28 Million dollars and has acquired several esports related companies, including IP company Ideas+Cars, data analytics company, StreamHatchet.com and storied racing game developer, Eden Games, co-developer of the F1 mobile racing game.
Alex currently acts as Executive Chairman of the Board of Millennial Esports Corp. Alex is a member in good standing of the Law Society of Upper Canada and an editor of the Gaming Law Review and Economics.
